Did you know that lots of foodstuffs have travelled from near your home to a depot at the other end of the country and then back to your local supermarket? This is what the economics of scale result in; ridiculous isn´t it?
This category encourages us to buy locally produced products or at least to ensure that goods are only transported the minimum distance necessary.
