My mother-in-law always used to say that it was better to wear colour coordinated jewellery, rather than matching pieces. So we have divided the varied Wotknot jewellery into eight colour "themes". Buy 3 pieces of jewellery to give as a present or to match your own mood and dress or buy a matching set or individual items of jewellery from four colour patterns. This is really beautiful and well made natural jewellery that benefits AIDs patients in South Africa. There are six items of jewellery and they are available in eight colour "themes". The jewellery items are as follows;

• A twisted necklace, 60 cm (23.5 inches) long with five decorative beads and clasp closure.

• A matching twisted bracelet 20 cm (8 inches) long with a decorative bead and button closure.

• A flat reversible choker 30 cm (11.5 inches) long with an additional 10 cm (4 inches) chain to allow better fitting.

• A flat reversible bracelet 18 cm (7 inches) long with a button closure.

• A longer bracelet 23 cm (9 inches) in length with button closure for the ankle, upper arm or just a looser fit.

• Pair of circular earrings of 4.5 cm (2 inch) diameter for pierced ears

There are eight coordinated colour themes carefully selected and matched. Order 3 pieces and these items will conform to a matching theme in any of the following colours.

• Dark Chocolate

• Lavender

• Oatmeal

• Spice

• Strawberry Bonbon

• Zebra

Made from waxed cotton string and wood, all natural components; this jewellery is made by "Wotknot" which is a small community, in association with the Wentworth AIDS Action Group (WAAG). Wotknot provides employment for the patients to enable them to become financially independent. In addition it gives a percentage of its profits directly to the WAAG to enable the group to set up further skills based projects. The long term aim is that the community should become a buzzing hive of activity with many individuals producing a wide range of products.

It is evident that individuals involved in the Wotknot project have greater self-esteem and better health than they had before their involvement "and it is the support of all our customers who make this happen". We are happy to support this scheme and hope that you will be keen to help too.
