Glass is an excellent material for re-use and recycling. It is sterile, safe and 100% recyclable. The recycling process can be repeated endlessly without any loss of quality.
Recycling glass reduces the amount of rubbish that goes into landfill. Reusing glass means that less sand has to be quarried, conserving our countryside and using less energy. Recycling one bottle saves enough energy to power a TV for an hour and a half.
No acid etching is used. Because the bottle is not melted down, these glasses are 90% more energy efficient than normal recycled glass
